Create a free account now and gain access to a great selection of cars in your area!

Search for your perfect car

Send rental requests to all cars that are suitable to your needs. Car owners that have available vehicles will pre-approve your request.

Pay to confirm the rental

Pick the car you like the most from your list of requests that have been pre-approved by the owner, and pay to confirm the rental.

Collect the car

With the owner, agree on the time and location to pick up the keys! You'll need to bring your driving licence with you, as well as a copy of the rental agreement. The owner will check these documents at the meetup point.


You're covered under Allianz comprehensive insurance and will have access to 24-hour roadside assistance. Relax, drive, and enjoy your trip knowing you're protected!

Return the car and write a review

After replacing the fuel you’ve used, return the car to its owner. Having difficulty? Inform the owner and RideLink so the issue can be solved. Remember to leave a review about your rental experience!

FAQ for renters

What are the requirements to rent a car on RideLink?

To be accepted as a renter you must be at least 21 years old and have had your licence for more than 24 months. Additional restrictions may apply for renters who are between 21 and 28 years old.

How does insurance work?

RideLink uses Allianz insurance company to insure your vehicle during your rentals. Our policy protects you against claims of personal and material damage that occur during the rental, as well as collisions and vehicle theft. Check out further information on the insurance policy page.

Under what circumstances could I be denied insurance coverage?

If you fail the requirements for renting a car on RideLink, our insurance will not cover you and you will have to cover all repair costs for damages. Click here for more details.

What services are included for roadside assistance?

RideLink offers free and efficient roadside assistance. These services include a telephone line that is available 24/7 and towing of the vehicle either to the closest mechanic or to the owner’s residence.

Do I have to pay a security deposit when renting a car?

No, RideLink does not take a security deposit from renters when they hire a car from our platform. However, should the renter have an accident during the rental period and the car is damaged, the renter must pay RideLink the estimated value of the damage done, limited to the amount of our insurance excess.


Comprehensive insurance and roadside assistance

Covered liability

Allianz covers civil and third party liability insuring 100% of statutory bail, court costs or compensation to others; 100% up to the amount of £5,000,000 compensation in respect of any other insured vehicles.

Insured damage

Our policy covers the cost of damage and the necessary repairs to your vehicle, should it be damaged during the rental period. This includes: expert opinion of a certified auto mechanic, repair of any spare parts or damage to the car and its accessories as a result of a collision.

Roadside assistance

RideLink provides 24-hour roadside assistance, which is included in the rental price. You’ll have access to 24-hour telephone attention and towing of the vehicle to either the closest mechanic or to the owner’s residence.

Rental agreement

The rental agreement is a document that serves as a contract, only a signed contract can guarantee Allianz insurance coverage for both the car owner and driver

List your car

List your car for free. When listing your car, choose your car’s availability schedule and price. Also let us know where we should send your earnings after each rental by going to My Account >Earnings.

Pre-approve booking requests

When receiving a booking request, you will need to pre-approve or reject within 24 hours. You always have control over who rents your car and when!

Confirmation of the rental

When a renter chooses your car among their pre-approved requests and pays for the booking, the rental will then be confirmed. Agree on where to exchange the keys after confirmation.

Hand over the car

Give the renter a quick tour of your vehicle. Before handing over the vehicle, go over the checklist on the rental agreement, and sign it together.


Your car is protected and covered under our comprehensive insurance. With 24-hour roadside assistance you can be rest assured that your car is safe.

Collect your car and get paid

Pickup your car and check with the driver that the condition is the same as it was at the start of the rental. You will receive your earnings within 7 days of the rental completing.

Why should I rent out my car on RideLink?

Cars are expensive to buy, expensive to maintain, and depreciate in value overtime. In fact, cars lose value faster than almost any other possession we own. RideLink provides a platform in which car owners can earn money with their vehicle safely and conveniently while we handle complications, such as insurance coverage.Joining the platform is free and gives you a list of benefits. We screen all renters, but keep in mind that you also have control over who rents your car and when. Lastly, we guarantee that your payment process -in case you want to rent a car yourself- is easy and secure.

How does insurance work?

RideLink uses Allianz as its associated insurance company for insuring your vehicle while it's being rented out. Will my current car insurance policy be affected?

Allianz comprehensive insurance policy will supercede your car insurance for the duration of the rental. This protects owners should a claim arise from any incidents that occur during the rental period.

How does RideLink make sure renters are valid drivers?

Before any renter is accepted on RideLink they must prove their identity. This involves the renter providing RideLink with their full name, photo, telephone number, address, and how long they have had their driving licence. Renters who use our site must be older than 21 years of age and have a valid method of payment.

Can I choose who rents my car?

Yes, you can accept or reject any booking request. The RideLink platform allows you to check the renter’s profile so you can see if their licence has been verified by RideLink, as well as other additional information. Feel free to contact the renter to ask any questions not answered in their personal profile.

How does the renter get the keys for my vehicle?

You will need to discuss with the renter and decide on a pick up location to hand over the keys. This is also a good opportunity to double check the renter’s driver’s licence.

Does RideLink earn a commission?

Yes, RideLink takes 30% of the rental total, known as the car owner service fee. Most part of this fee is to insure the car for the duration of the rental. 70% of the total goes to the car owner.
